Nigeria: Osinbajo Inagurates Housing Project in Kano

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday in Kano performed the foundation laying ceremony of 2,000 housing units projects initiated by the State government.

Osinbajo also performed the foundation laying ceremony of the Integrated Skills Acquisition Center and 122 waste disposal tricycles near Amana City in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the State.

The vice president said at the event that President Muhammadu Buhari was happy with Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje for fulfilling the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign promises.

"We are very happy with this project because housing scheme policy is part of APC manifesto and campaign promises which Kano State has just started," he said.

According to him, the APC-led administration is committed and determined to provide Nigerians with good governance.

He restated that substantial amount of money had been set aside to train at least 500,000 youths on various skills including technical skills.

Osinbaho said that one million market women would be empowered with loan.

Responding, Ganduje said that the state government was prepared to fulfill all campaign promises in line with APC manifesto.

He explained that the project was to enable low and middle income earners own houses.

Ganduje said that the affordable houses would go along away in solving the housing problems in the state, adding that his administration was committed to women and youths empowerment in the state.
